| Welcome to my site (which will slowly take shape) I have many photographs I would like to share with you. |
A little about me. I took up photography about 1979 armed with my first SLR. It was an East German Praktica with a standard 50mm lens.
I learned as much as I could from reading photography magazines and going out trying everything out with the camera, until I understood every thing about apertures and depth of field etc.
Through the years I have upgraded my cameras.
In early 2001 approx I started in digital photography and never looked back. I enjoy enhancing both JPEG & RAW photographs in Adobe Photoshop and am now using the editing capabilities of the RAW files to take my photographs that little bit further in creativity. In time I will add examples of JPEG v RAW to my site.
My main interests in photography are sport, landscapes and people. Weddings, christenings and portraits etc is something I undertake if and when asked.
I am from Edinburgh and lived and worked most of my life here except for a 10 year spell in Leeds, not in HMP Armley but bookbinding with Leeds City Libraries.
